About Us
HELLO and WELCOME
to Redoak Ragdolls.
Our names are Dave &
Julia Canbury, the proud owners of Redoak Ragdolls
in Melbourne Australia.
Dave grew up on a dairy farm, and Julia
grew up on a chicken farm, so our love
for animals are strong, Dave's family
had 2 Persians (Blondie & Dagwood) and
built up a small cattery in the country
of Victoria where he got his first
Persian cat at the age of 8 years old,
Dave acquired the taste of breeding
medium to long haired cats as a hobby
and carried on the family trait of
breeding
Persians around 1972 until 1998.
In the year 2002
we bought our first Ragdoll Candee from
a lovely lady called Dineke who breeds
ragdolls herself. After Candee’s
2nd litter we decided to expand and show
our lovely cats as to
be able to meet a healthy demand for this
breed of cat.
We believe in bringing up our cats indoors
& around people and
we take care with all details when rearing
kittens during there development. JULIA
calls herself the nanny as
she spends so much time with them bringing
out there loving active personality to
be able to move onto new loving homes.
We are a small based breeder and take
pride in breeding some of the finest
quality Champion Ragdoll cats for both
the family pet owner and the
breeder/show competitor.
