Keeping Cats
Here are some practical tips
for keeping cats.
Stinky Cat

Cats are very clean creatures, make sure
they have clean litter available at all
times. Remove dirty litter daily.
Flat Cat
Because Ragdolls lack the instinct to defend
themselves when attacked, they must be kept
as indoor pets only. However, they can be
easily leash trained so that they can go for
walks with you outside. Alternatively look
at building or purchasing a cat run. Not
only will this keep your Ragdoll safe, but
it will also help to protect our native
wildlife.
Cat Munch
Kittens should be fed with wet food three
times a day. Adults should be fed once a
day.
Dry food and water should always be
available.
Try to vary your Ragdoll's food, using
different varieties and brands.
If you find your Ragdoll particularly likes
milk, feed it a pet food milk. instead of
regular milk, regular milk can lead to eye
and digestion problems
Destructo Cat
Boredom is not a problem for animals in
their natural environment, but, once
confined to an enclosure or a backyard it is
a completely different story. That is why it
is important to enrich their environment.
That means giving them lots of things to do
that allow them to use their instincts,
interactive toys provide great entertainment
for cats. Scratching is one of your
Ragdoll's most ingrained instincts. Keep a
scratching post near where your cat usually
sleeps or, if he has already picked out a
corner of your sofa, keep it next to that
chosen spot. You may need to train your
Ragdoll to use his scratching post, do not
pick him up and put his paws on the
scratching post (that will only make him
want to avoid it). Make the scratching post
appealing to him: rub catnip on it or mist
it with catnip spray; drape a heavy string
(a long leather shoelace works great) over
it and wiggle it to catch his interest; put
treats on the very top.
Bath Time
Rub-a-dub dub:

Kitty in the Tub
Bathing cats is necessary for show cats and
some long-haired varieties. It's best to
start them young.
